Louise Stephenson
Louise is working in the English-speaking groups at Marbella Recovery and also provides one-to-one counselling sessions in English.
TRAINING
Louise has taken a foundation course in psychodynamic counselling at WPF in Kensington, London. She also trained in person-centred therapy at the Metanoia Institute in Ealing. She has recently acquired her ICADC (International Certified Alcohol and Drug counsellor) accreditation.
AREAS OF EXPERTISE, WORK EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL SKILLS
Louise has been involved in 12-step recovery for the past ten years. She currently visits alcoholics and addicts at the remand prison in Alhaurín de la Torre. She has done work placements at two rehabilitation centres in Andalucía.
Louise moved from London to Marbella in 2002; she is an ex-film producer and single mother.
Through her personal recovery journey Louise’s own life has been transformed. She enjoys sharing her experience with others and nurturing and supporting them through their recovery process.
